After four years of playing the violin with pain until recently that I discovered that I have played with a wrong posture..
And I had suffered from cramp fingers due to that...
Now, after I had been observing other violinist.. I lowered the shoulder rest.. Bring the violin more outward.. And poof! Pain free..
Haha ok.. I am being metaphorical here.. But at least it does not hurt that much.. The pain had been reduced to 80%!! And it help my intonation, the ease of pressing the strings, my tone and many more..
Such wonders it brings... It's time to back to basic!
And I learn to listen to my body when I play the violin.. For instance.. Just now during rehearsal.. I felt pain a little bit on my left shoulder.. I detect it and correct my posture on the spot.. And the pain goes away...
Sometimes we tend to over practice and neglect our body's call for attention.. And I'm start to feel sensitive to my body's need...
This is a very positive growth of my violin playing.. This semester.. I started to give up going further to performance.. I even said that this semester I want to focus on being a lecturer instead
And life is filled with ironies.. Hahaha
Now I love playing violin than sitting infront of my lappy doing assingty(assignments.. Ahem)
Hahah well bye for now! Just thought on sharing this positive thought! :)
